Terry Santoro

To love what I do and know that it matters is what has kept me thriving in the Real Estate industry.  I enjoy learning new things and always striving to be better at what I do.  That is why working with Gold Country Modern is such a great fit for me.

Before joining the real estate community I ran the office, did sales with my husband at his pest control business and raised our two girls Jamey and Tawnya.  I thoroughly enjoyed being a Girl Scout leader from first grade until the girls graduated from high school.  Also I was the advisor/leader for S Club (a service club at the high school level) and Friday Night Live, a club to give kids an alternative to drinking and drugs.

At that point I followed my father’s foot steps into real estate knowing that is where I belonged.  Now, just like the first day I started, my passion is to help clients find that perfect house or sell their luxury property.  Every aspect of the process from educating clients about the area, negotiating the purchase, helping them with lenders and escrow, to handing them keys is my favorite and what I do best!

Q&A with Terry Santoro, Realtor with Gold Country Modern

How long have you called Amador County home?

How fortunate I am to be able to call Amador County home for the last 40+ years.  Moved here in the Fall of 1975.

How long have you been a Realtor in Amador County and what (real estate related) accomplishments areyou most proud of?

I started my Real Estate career in Amador County in 1992 so have seen many changes.  How lucky is that to live and work at something you love in the beautiful Sierra Foothills?  It makes me so happy when I am referred to second and third generations. I am truly blessed!

Sell us.  Why Amador County?

Now this is a very tough one because I love relaxing at one of the great restaurants like Elements in Sutter Creek, or on the patio at Volcano Union Inn…but, I am still in awe of the drive up Ridge Rd in the Spring time when you see sparkly views of snow capped Sierra’s to the East, beautiful rolling hillsides full of spring flowers to the West and majestic trees straight ahead.  Forty plus years after my first drive up the hill and I still love it!

Give it up.  Where is your favorite secret (or not so secret) destination in Amador County?

Now this is a very tough one because I love relaxing at one of the great restaurants like Elements in Sutter Creek, or on the patio at Volcano Union Inn…but, I am still in awe of the drive up Ridge Rd in the Spring time when you see sparkly views of snow capped Sierra’s to the East, beautiful rolling hillsides full of spring flowers to the West and majestic trees straight ahead.  Forty plus years after my first drive up the hill and I still love it!

Complete this sentence: In my free time....

Love traveling with my husband Jim, and grandchildren Colby and Jamey, whether to Spring Training, Europe, sailing, or just quiet time on the Delta.   Sitting around the fire pit with great friends and family also makes for special free time!

Meet Terry Santoro, Gold Country Realtor

Recent Client Testimonials for Terry Santoro

Her Marketing Skills Are Outstanding

Terry Santoro (with Gold Country Modern in Sutter Creek, CA) did a fabulous job selling our home in Cameron Park, California.  We listed the home on a Friday and had two offers (one full asking price) within three days! We interviewed several agents from different agencies and decided Terry was the best agent to meet our needs.  After choosing Terry, we realized how fortunate we were!  Her marketing skills were outstanding.  The pictures of our home highlighted every feature we felt made our house stand apart from others on the market at the time.  She was professional, attentive, and was willing to work with our busy schedules.  Terry communicated with us every step of the way.  She was responsive to us as well as the buyer’s realtor and made sure all parties were comfortable at all times. Technology allowed us to do most of the signing wherever we were, and Terry made sure we had all our questions answered before we signed anything.  Selling our house was made easy with Terry as our realtor!  Thank you Terry...Thank you Gold Country Modern Real Estate.

I would give Terry 10 stars

Terry is a real estate agent extraordinaire!! She is phenomenal in every aspect of the home buying process. She will work tirelessly for you in helping you find and buy your new dream home. She went above and beyond and helped us with everything, including finding reputable inspectors and contractors. I would give Terry 10 stars if the rating scale went that high.

Terry is a complete professional

Terry is a complete professional. From the sale of our house in Orangevale to the purchase of our new home in Jackson, we couldn't have been more pleased. She is warm, friendly, and available to answer all questions. She made the tedious process of paperwork fast and efficient using online technology. She had documents available to our Smartphones! She went above and beyond our expectations. We wouldn't recommend anyone else.

What you do when no one is looking is what counts

Terry Santoro has been our agent in multiple transactions. She listed and sold my moms home after she passed away. This being a very difficult time in our life we knew Terry would take care of us and she did with all the care & compassion one could hope for. A few years later we sold our home & went into a 2 year lease option for our new home. We were no easy task for her to say the least but she held our hands the whole way encouraging the sellers as well as ourselves making sure that the transaction was in the best interest of both parties and not her personal gain. She truly cares about her clients whom inevitably become her friends, it's that small town character thing "what you do when no one is looking that counts" if you're needing an agent call Terry!

Worked tirelessly to buy and sell

We recently had our home in Kern County for sale and one in Jackson to purchase.  Terry Santoro was our realtor here and worked tirelessly to help us with both the close of one sale and the purchase of another.  During that time, the Butte fire was raging and Terry was concerned for friends and family, yet was professional and concerned about making sure our move went smoothly and timely. We appreciated her very much and do refer her to anyone needing to sell or purchase property.

I would highly recommend her

After having several realtors, Terry Santoro was the one who finalized a deal for our house. She exhibited knowledge and professionalism and I would highly recommend her.

Thank You - Thank You - Thank You

Hello Terry! As you may recall I had utilized the assistance of another real estate agent for my search for a home. I had her assistance for a couple of months before contacting you directly in relationship to your having a few homes I was interested in among your listings. From the first home you brought me to I wanted to have you alone handle my searches. It was no mistake. You made the change from my prior agent such a smooth transition and I also appreciate that. I did not care to offend her. You wanted to know more thoroughly the kinds of things I wanted in a home, what types of properties would and would not work for me, which were vital and which were more a list of desires. Not only did you help me find my dear little house on my wonderful property, your sensitivity helped me determine what changes I could financially manage to alter it to my needs. That seemed over and beyond to me but I suspect this was only a small part of the expertise you enjoy in your work. I always felt comfortable with you and looked forward to meeting with you to view homes. I knew you would comment on concerns and even help me see what elements were present I had mentioned to you when I didn’t initially see them. Working with you through the purchase, helping me understand the components of it through the finalization (well, actually beyond that time) you were so available to me and so supportive- you made the process a snap. And I do indeed love my home! I hope our paths cross in the future- I might be the woman in the produce aisle coming up and giving you a hug! I would appreciate your placing this note among your others for however it may benefit you in the future. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Vast knowledge to close the deal

By the end of the first day of looking at properties with Terry I knew it was a match made in the heavens. Terry has vast knowledge and invaluable experience from her successful career in the real estate business necessary to close the deal. Through her skills Terry quickly demonstrated she deserved my confidence in getting the job done with integrity and kindness. I wouldn't want to work with anyone else in the process, which can be stressful for some. From start to finish Terry is the only one who can produce with finesse. I highly recommend working with Terry.

Gold Country Modern comes to town

I'm so happy to see Gold Country Modern Real Estate come to town.  Gold Country Modern is part of an established, well-respected real estate brokerage founded by Amador County native Renee Adelmann.   We used Gold Country Modern's sister company, Marin Modern Real Estate (also founded by Renee Adelmann), to help us purchase our home and were so glad we did.  We were in a bidding war and because of savvy representation we won our home by a very narrow margin.

When we sold our home in Amador County, Terry Santoro (who is one of the original Gold Country Modern team members) was invaluable in helping us close the deal.  Our Realtor was out of town when closing time came and Terry stepped in with assistance, wisdom, and comforting words of advice.  We couldn't have done it without her.

When I learned that Marin Modern was opening a branch in the Gold Country, I was glad to know home buyers and sellers in the foothills will have the opportunity to experience the dedicated real estate representation that we had in both the purchase and sale of our homes.  Whether you are a buyer or a seller, you can be sure that you are in good hands with Gold Country Modern.

Lessor agents would have walked away months ago

We truly thank you for your hard work in selling our families cabin. Challenges were many, but you continued to move forward with professionalism where lessor agents would of walked months ago . We appreciate it.
